1. Respiratory Nursing;
The Respiratory Nursing is a professional course for nurses interested in respiratory health and quality nursing care for those with respiratory disorders. It provides an opportunity for nurses in a variety of practice settings to develop a strong respiratory knowledge base and skills important for quality respiratory nursing care. 

 

2. Anaesthetic Nursing;
Anaesthetic Nursesprovide anaesthesia and related care before and after surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic and obstetrical procedures. They also provide pain management and emergency services, such as airway management.
The practice of anaesthesia is a recognized specialty within the profession of nursing, and nurse anesthetists are essential to the healthcare workforce. The Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthetic treatment for all types of surgical cases, from the simplest to the most complex. CRNAs provide anaesthesia in collaboration with surgeons, anaesthesiologists and other qualified healthcare professionals and practice in every setting in which anaesthesia is delivered – traditional hospital surgical suites and obstetrical delivery rooms, ambulatory surgical centers, dentists' offices, pain management clinics, and more. They have long held an important role on the battlefield as well.

 

3. Nursing Practitioner;
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse educated to a master’s degree level and authorised to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role.
The nurse practitioner role includes assessment and management of clients using nursing knowledge and skills and may include, but not limited to, the direct referral of patients to other health care professionals, prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic investigations.
The nurse practitioner role is grounded in the nursing profession’s values, knowledge, theories and practice and provides innovative and flexible health care delivery that complements other health care providers.

 

4. Midwifery;
Midwifery(Midwives) are the traditional care providers for mothers and infants. Midwives are trained professionals with expertise and skills in supporting women to maintain healthy pregnancies and have optimal births and recoveries during the postpartum period.
Midwives provide women with individualized care uniquely suited to their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. Midwifery is a woman-centered empowering model of maternity care that is utilized in all of the countries of the world with the best maternal and infant outcomes such as The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Canada.

 

5. Pharmacy Technician.
pharmacy technician is a health care provider who performs pharmacy-related functions, generally working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Pharmacy technicians work in a variety of locations (usually in community, retail, and hospital pharmacies), but can also work for long-term care facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, third-party insurance companies, computer software companies, or in government or teaching. Job duties include dispensing prescription drugs and other medical devices to patients and instructing on their use.

They may also perform administrative duties in pharmaceutical practice, such as reviewing prescription requests with doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure correct medications are provided and payment is received.

6. Health Assistant Clinical (HAC)
To get admitted into Health Assistant Clinical (HAC), the successful Candidate must have passes in;
a. WASSCE Certificate with at least passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
OR
b. SSSCE Certificate with at least passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
